I started working with Sonja about two years ago. I'm 70 years old. My goal was to build upper arm strength and make sure I was steady on my feet. I did Sonja's intensive introduction course and then continued on for about a year and a half. Sonja is awesome. Her instincts are excellent with regard to the type of exercise I needed and how to make adjustments. Today I've got my own routine and go to my gym three times a week for a shorter workout. And I feel great. You can even feel the muscles in my arms, which I never had before. I highly recommend Sonja's program. For someone like me who was never interested in weight training before, Sonja was the perfect solution. I looked forward to going to the gym with her and still do. I will be forever grateful for her guidance. Is it intimidating for a 70 year old woman to join a gym with a bunch of young people? A little. But in the end, I was hoping that I could inspire them. You're never to old to learn how to take care of your body. Thank you, Sonja.

I generally need to be forced into a gym and to work out, but working out with Sonja is a game changer! She encourages me, while at the same time holding me accountable to my commitments. The positive environment creates a space where I can get personal attention and the best individualized work out for my personal needs. I work out consistently now because Sonja pushes me to reach goals I did not even know I could reach! Somehow, she makes it fun to work and push myself harder than I think I can. I cannot recommend her enough!

I have been going for some kind of fitness training for almost 40 years. Most trainers talk a good game, but then rely on the same template trainers use from coast to coast. There is no such thing as "one size fits all," educators be damned. Cookie cutter homogeny is not what I am looking for. Sonja, the owner of Demco and one of the trainers, customizes my workout to me, my size, and what I need to be fit. She isn't judgmental, shunning "silver sneaker" exercises in spite of my age. Sonja gets that 99% of us older cats still want lean muscle mass and strength. Sure balance and flexibility are important, and we do some innovative work on these two vital aspects of physical fitness. Yet, there is no condensation, her workout also develops my body. I am beginning to look and feel better. Sonja knows her stuff, and she is a unique professional, existing amongst a forest of trainers who can only follow a prescribed text, chapter by chapter.

I have been going to Demco fitness for 6 months now. The gym is very well equipped and most importantly the vibe there is very friendly. Sonja and Ro are amazing trainers and the monthly programs created by Sonja are personalized and focus on overall development and growth. I had an ongoing injury and my program was curated to help with it and get stronger in those muscle groups apart from other exercises. The results are amazing. I never get bored because every month there is a new program and a great mix of exercises and the trainers keep an eye on your form and movements and correct and modify according to your needs. I didn't do any weight training before but in these 6 months I have become stronger and I am able to lift and work with weights. Going to Demco fitness is the best part of my day because of the community feeling and all the fun I have along with a good sweat. Highly recommend!

I've been working with Sonja for 2 months, and I already feel stronger and more energetic. Sonja is incredible to work with. Most importantly - I'm excited to come back for each session, because Sonja is constantly keeping things interesting with new movements and combinations. She knows how to push me and hype me without pushing too far, which to me is the MOST important quality in a trainer. She's fantastic at making real time adjustments and pivots when my body is feeling unstable or sore. Bonus - the gym soundtrack is always dope! Final note: I'm one of the rare clients who found Sonja just by googling. 99% of her clients come from referrals, which is such a credit to her skills as a trainer. Not to mention, she builds a real community! Even though I wasn't connected to her gym at all on day 1, she's introduced me to everyone I cross paths with in the gym (including her adorable dogs). If you're looking for a trainer, you absolutely should give Sonja and Demco Fitness a try.

I have been a member of Demco Fitness since the summer of 2021. I, personally, need accountability to be consistent in doing a work out routine. A couple, I know, highly recommended this establishment to me as they had been going for quite awhile. At that time, I was also having pain in my left knee which continued even after PT. This couple also explained how the Instructors are very skilled in working around injuries, although, it turned out my pain was caused by arthritis. Well, I no longer have pain and my knee is stronger. Demco is semi personal training, in that, it's a small group of people and each person has their own unique exercise plan depending on where they are at physically. If our form is incorrect, we are instructed on the proper way to execute it. The instructors are encouraging. We are all there for different reasons but getting healthy and stronger is all part of it. We, includes all age groups and all fitness levels. It works. No matter what age or fitness level, you will see results with consistency. I am turning 70 in a month and I have never had such muscular arms. I'm strong. I'm proud of myself and grateful to all the instructors who help me to achieve my goals. Sonja, who is the owner, is fun, extremely knowledgeable and kicks butt!! I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Demco Fitness. It's fantastic!!
